Health care professionals all across the US believe that low-card diet is not the solution to battle obesity. According to them a low-card diet tends to be heavy in animal products, this contributes half of greenhouse gases compare to a diet that is composed of whole grains, vegetables, fruit and legumes which are all environmentally safe and can keep the weight off.

A study conducted by Journal of the American Dietetic Association found that consuming a low-carbohydrate diet increases the chance of being overweight or obese. In addition to the study, the lowest risk of being in those conditions is by consuming 47 to 64 percent calories from carbohydrates.

The thinnest people on earth are those who eat the most carbohydrates, according to Northwestern University.

They have also conducted a statistics of more than 4, 000 men and women to 40 to 59 year-old from US, Britain, Japan and China. They found out that people with high-carbohydrates diet were much thinner versus people with high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet.

Researchers also found that people who eat the most protein tend to be the heaviest. Even more remarkable, the more animal protein is consumed, the greater the risk of health diseases and weight gain.

According to Journal of the American Medical Association affirmed that a low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet does not initiate weight gain.

They have followed the lifestyle trail of 50,000 women over course of 7 years, and they all have been doing a low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet composed of whole grain, lots of fruits and vegetables actually lost weight.

Experts suggest that if you want to lose weight and keep it off, you should stick to the low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet. Start eating complex carbohydrate, this type of carbohydrate is generally brown or tan. Complex carbohydrates take longer to be absorb by the body which produces a stable amount of energy
